The goal of ACURIL is to bring together information professionals, from different types of libraries, archives and museums, and researchers from all knowledge areas, to share research work, their knowledge and expertise and,
in so doing, to develop a Caribbean Community of Research Experience and Innovation. representatives, researchers, professors and students. This event is a good opportunity to approach the most important institutions
of the Caribbean in a single trip developing many other new important contacts. The participants are principally high level librarians from main universities in the Caribbean islands, government representatives, researchers,
professors and students.

This four-days conference presents a different theme on each day:
Theme I: Interdisciplinary Research in the Caribbean A Collaborative Approach
Theme II: Innovative Research in Caribbean Libraries, Archives and Museums
Theme III: Research in the Caribbean Sociology, Economics and Politics
Theme IV: Radical Change in Research with Digital Information Technologies and Knowledge Management.
