Leiden, The Netherlands – ACCUCOMS and Equinox Publishing Ltd have signed an agreement to include Equinox journals in Aggregagent™. The journals will also be part of the ‘ALPSP Collections’, a series of packages of content from ALPSP members, within the Aggregagent framework. This news comes shortly after the signing of Pluto Journals for Aggregagent and ALPSP Collections.
As of May 2017, ALPSP and ACCUCOMS announced a partnership to reinstate sales services as a benefit of an ALPSP membership. ALPSP members can opt to have their journals included in a series of ALPSP Collections available for purchase by libraries, in addition to the broad and narrow subject classifications of Aggregagent. With content available from Pluto Journals, Equinox Publishing, IOS Press, Penn State University Press and Akadémiai Kiadó, the ALPSP Collections are growing fast.
Janet Joyce, Managing Director at Equinox Publishing, said “The relaunch of the ALJC (ALPSP Learned Journals Collection) within the Aggregagent framework fills a huge gap in our sales and marketing strategy. We’ve been hoping for such an outcome because it is very hard for small publishers working on their own to impress consortia or to make headway on all fronts internationally. We can’t wait to get started.”
“ALPSP is delighted to see the ALPSP Collections in the Aggregagent already growing. Equinox Publishing were participants in the old ALPSP Learned Journals Collection, along with IOS Press and Akadémiai Kiadó, and will now continue to benefit from increased access to sales opportunities around the world” said Audrey McCulloch, Chief Executive of ALPSP. “We look forward to welcoming many more members to take part in this new opportunity.”
ACCUCOMS’ Chief Innovation Officer Simon Inger is also delighted. Simon said that “the Equinox journals immediately enable us to start building out the ALPSP Collections within Aggregagent, and will once again enjoy a more global exposure than any one publisher can achieve on its own.”
