ACCUCOMS has closed two important deals on behalf of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) with two of the most important academic library consortia in Latin America, the Argentinian CONICET (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas), and the Mexican CONRICyT (Consorcio Nacional de Recursos de Informacíon Científica y Tecnológica).

Anouk Snijders, Regional Sales Manager Latin America at ACCUCOMS, commented: ‘After several years of actively promoting the Royal Society of Chemistry’s high-quality chemical sciences content in Latin America, we can see an increasing interest in their publications both at institutional and consortium level. Good examples are the recent deals we have been able to close on behalf of the RSC with the CONICET consortium in Argentina and the very large CONRICyT consortium in Mexico. Both deals were the result of the close collaboration by our Latin America Sales Team and the RSC, and we are looking forward to working with them on other opportunities to further increase their business in the region.’

Stephen Hawthorne, the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Strategic Partnerships, said: “The CONRICyT and CONICET deals will give researchers in Argentina and Mexico access to the highest quality chemical sciences research published by the Royal Society of Chemistry.  Through our partnership with ACCUCOMS, we developed a strong understanding of institutions’ and researchers’ needs in these two important countries in the Latin American region and for each one we were able to successfully position a collection of our journals that addressed those needs.

Simon Boisseau, Sales Director at Accucoms further commented: ‘We are delighted to have closed these important Consortia sales on behalf of Royal Society of Chemistry. Our Latin American sales team has built strong relationships with individual institutions and Consortia across the whole territory, and we look forward to further sales success. Latin America is a key growth area for many of our clients, and Accucoms will be expanding our operations there to fulfill this need.’

“These deals will play a significant role in our mission to make the best in chemical sciences content as widely accessible as possible across the world.”
