10 June 2014 | Leiden, The Netherlands – ACCUCOMS, the leading provider of sales and marketing services for publishers has recently launched a competition aimed at librarians.
The competition, ‘Are you our most inspiring librarian?’ asks librarians from across the globe to submit an inspiring photograph of themselves in their workplace. Photos should be submitted and voted for via the ACCUCOMS Facebook page and the photo with the highest number of votes wins.
The winner of the best photo will obtain a KindleFire (delivered via Amazon.com) and a one-year subscription to an IOS Press’ academic journal of his/her choice.
Photographs should be inspiring, captivating and must be demonstrative of the daily work and support provided by librarians in their workplace. The more inspiring and moving the photograph, the better.
Entrants to the competition must be working librarians employed by an educational institution. They can be academic or non-academic librarians and can stem from any subject area.
Elizabeth Joss, Marketing Executive at ACCUCOMS had the following to say about the competition: “We are keen to reach librarians across the globe and to demonstrate the importance of their role to the general public. This is a great way for librarians to come together, share a snapshot of their own lives and inspire readers and book lovers the world over.”
