Leiden, The Netherlands – A few weeks after ACCUCOMS and ALPSP announced the launch of the ALPSP Collections within Aggregagent™, Pluto Journals is the first publisher to join these collections. Pluto Journals’ content will be available in not only the ALPSP Collections, but also in other subject collections in Aggregagent.
As of May 2017, ALPSP and ACCUCOMS announced a partnership to reinstate sales services as a benefit of an ALPSP membership. ALPSP members can opt to have their journals included in a series of ALPSP Collections available for purchase by libraries, in addition to the broad and narrow subject classifications of Aggregagent.
Pluto Journals is now the first publisher to be included in these ALPSP Collections. Pluto Journals’ Managing Director Roger van Zwanenberg is delighted with the agreement: “Pluto Journals is now seven years old, and we have come of age. We have made substantial progress in terms of the number of new journals we handle, and we are looking forward to increasing institutional sales to libraries worldwide via this agreement with ACCUCOMS. Aggregagent brings us a new pathway to bring our start up journals to libraries. Our new Journal of Fair Trade has potential global reach.”
Simon Boisseau, Commercial Director at ACCUCOMS, said: “We are pleased to include Pluto Journals’ as the first publisher in the new ALPSP Collections. Several other publishers have also now joined and we look forward to growing the collection and bringing it to the library market. Our aim is to create the best sales solution for small-to-medium sized publishers, while at the same time answering the needs of libraries and end-users for the best quality content.”
