ACCUCOMS to Represent American College of Physicians in India

ACCUCOMS signs a three-year Agreement to represent American College of Physicians in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

ACCUCOMS is a worldwide provider of sales and marketing services to academic and professional publishers since 2004. With an experienced sales-focused team in India, it is able to offer publishers a strong route to market in the region.

The American College of Physicians (ACP) is a national organization of internists, and the largest medical-specialty organization in the United States. It publishes Annals of Internal Medicine, which offers clinically-relevant articles that promote excellence in medicine and influence patient care. It is among the most widely-cited peer-reviewed medical journals in the world.

Commercial Director Rakesh Malik said: “We have undertaken several telemarketing projects for the American College of Physicians in the past and have now extended the relationship to represent them in the Indian territory with a direct sales approach.” He added; “We have witnessed a strong need from the Academic, Research and Health Sciences libraries in India for niche high-impact content to their relevant faculties. There is also a growing demand for purchasing online archives of such publishers as the libraries look to replace their print backfiles for online.”

“We are pleased to engage with ACCUCOMS to help deliver Annals of Internal Medicine content to health care professionals in the Far East,” said Diane Scott Lichter, Senior Vice President, Publishing at ACP. “Reaching this important audience will take us closer to our goal of improving the health of all people worldwide.”
