Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs

The Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs (2007–present) is the oldest peer-reviewed journal in the United States dedicated to substance use research, formerly the Journal of Studies on Alcohol (1975–2006) and the Quarterly Journal of Studies on Alcohol (1940–1974). JSAD has evolved to remain at the forefront of the field, publishing groundbreaking, multidisciplinary research on all aspects of alcohol and other drug use. A nonprofit published at Rutgers University’s Center of Alcohol and Substance Use Studies, JSAD is committed to advancing scientific discovery and informing policy, prevention, and treatment worldwide.
